Copywriter & Marketing Strategist
Contract, Part-Time
U.S.-Based, Remote
Est. 10-20 hours per month
We're looking for a skilled copywriter and strategic thinker to become part of our studio on a contract basis. Right now, that's ~3-5 hours per week.

You'll write copy across multiple channels while also bringing strategic perspective to client marketing initiatives. You won't just execute briefs – you'll research, question, spot gaps, and make recommendations. You're comfortable with ambiguity and figuring out your own direction.

If you're a generalist that's energized by variety, thinks strategically, and writes really (really!) well, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Copywriting – You'll own multiple channels of copy for our clients and internal projects: social media captions, website landing pages, email campaigns, long-form content pieces, and everything in between. You'll write in different voices and styles, adapting to each client's tone and personality. You can use AI as a tool, but the thinking, strategy, and personality behind every piece comes from you.

Strategic Thinking – You're not just executing what we hand you. We'll provide strategic direction and you'll take it from there. Research the competitive landscape. Identify what's missing in a client's positioning. Recommend content strategy shifts based on what you're seeing. Come back with ideas, not just questions.

Marketing Generalist Work – You're comfortable jumping between disciplines. One day you're analyzing a client's audience positioning, the next you're looking at their email performance, the next you're recommending a messaging shift. You don't need to be an expert in everything – you need to be genuinely curious and willing to figure things out.

What We're Looking For

Copywriting Skills – 3+ years of professional copywriting experience (if you’re a marketer who’s written a lot of copy because - let’s face it - that’s what we do! You count.). You write clearly, persuasively, and with personality. You can shift your voice depending on the client and channel.

Marketing Generalist Mindset – 3+ years of marketing experience in some capacity. You understand how different marketing pieces fit together. You can think strategically, not just tactically.

Self-Starter – You dive in, make mistakes, and learn from them. You don't wait for permission to explore an idea or ask a smart question.

Strategic Thinker – You see gaps. You make connections. You're comfortable with ambiguity and capable of finding your own direction within a framework.

Over-Communicator – You communicate about deadlines, expectations, and what you need. You ask clarifying questions. You flag issues early. You keep us in the loop.

Self-Sufficient – You know when to Google and figure things out, and you know when to ask for help or more context. You have good judgment about which is which.

The Details

  • Position Type: Freelance contract, part-time
  • Hours: ~3-5 hours per week initially, with growth as we take on more work. Flexible scheduling with availability Monday-Thursday (Central Time). Team meetings are Monday at 10am CT.
  • Compensation: $35-50/hour (commensurate with experience and growth)

Freelance Designers
Contract, Project-Based
U.S.-Based, Remote
Varies, As Needed Per Project

We're actively building a small bench of solid designers we can turn to for projects – whether that's overflow work when we're slammed, specialized projects, or ongoing collaboration.

If you're a designer with good taste, strong execution skills, and the ability to take direction and deliver excellent work, we want to work with you.

Types of Projects:

  • Brand Projects -  including moodboards, color palettes, typography selections, and logomarks
  • Website Projects -  including wireframes and mockups in Figma, design in Webflow.
  • Digital Design Projects -  including e-books, social media graphics, google docs design (yes, it’s a thing)
  • Print Design Projects - including flyers, pop-up banners and conference collateral.

What We're Looking For

Design Skills – 3+ years of professional design experience. You have a solid portfolio that shows range, taste, and execution quality. (We're also open to junior designers who are really good at what they do and meet the qualifications below.)

Execution-Focused – You dive in and deliver. You don't need constant check-ins or hand-holding. You ask clarifying questions upfront and then execute at a high level.

Good Taste – You understand design principles, aesthetics, and craft. You know what looks good and why. You care about the details.

Over-Communicator – You ask questions when you need clarity. You flag potential issues early. You keep us updated on progress and timeline.

Self-Sufficient – You know when to Google and figure things out, and you know when to ask for help or more context. You have good judgment about which is which.

Collaborator – You take direction well and work well with others. You understand feedback is an essential part of our job, and have no ego around your work.

  • Position Type: Freelance contract, project-based
  • Hours: As needed, varies by project. We'll reach out when we have work that's a good fit for you.
  • Availability: We ask that you have at least partial availability during business hours (Central Time), Monday-Thursday when possible.
  • Compensation: $35-50/hour (commensurate with experience)
